SOULWINDER Merch NOW AVAILABLE! What's Next?

You've been asking us for merch since SOULWINDER came out in 2022, and now it's finally here. Better late than never! Check out our home page or the menu categories above (or on the side for mobile users) to see everything we at FORGE 285 have painstakingly designed just for you: Comfortable, cozy apparel to keep you warm this winter, vibrantly detailed posters, souvenir glasses from Beth's tavern, and more. Merch in the future

The survey results you gave us were filled with brilliant suggestions, and many (surprisingly many) people uniquely came up with identical merch ideas. We're planning to offer them in future product waves as long as the success of our current product lineup can justify it. Should that be so, you can look forward to new SOULWINDER-themed stickers, pins, and hanger keychains sometime around Q2 2025 (Probably?). And maybe more "specialized" items like winder keychains, replica Starwinders, and other awesome things you told us you wanted. Look. There's a ton of super cool things you asked for, and we want to make as many of them as we're able to. Product development is a lengthy process though, and we're a (very) small team! So for now please patiently stay tuned. Whatever new merch we make from here will likely sell as pre-orders when the time comes.

Also, where are the deskpads? There's a good chance you noticed them in an email or post we made leading up to today. Well, those posts were (not) amazingly timed, because a few hours after they went out, we were informed of a sudden issue with our deskpad supplier. Sadly, this prevents us from selling any deskpads for a few months, but as soon as they're available again we'll send an email through our newsletter to let you know. (Maybe we'll even drop a couple unused apparel designs to go with it!)

Ko-fi page & Discord reward now live!

For reasons unknown, some of you made your desire to just recklessly throw money at us very clear. Please be more responsible! But should you wish to disregard that advice anyhow, now you can! As of today, our new Ko-fi page allows you to make donations of any amount to FORGE 285 as another way to support us in making stories that'll leave an impact on your heart. And for those who join our monthly Ko-fi "BENEFACTOR" membership, we've prepared an honorary cosmetic server role and name color to spotlight you in our community Discord server for as long as you're subscribed.

What's the FORGE up to next?

With this merch milestone now achieved, we're shifting our full focus and energy toward creating the two test projects revealed in our first news post. Here's some more context on these, mixed with some recap for those just now joining us:

Test Project #1 is based on a new intellectual property. This means it's not related to SOULWINDER, telling a different story in a different world with new characters. The primary reason we're working on this is so we can train our skills in the new entertainment medium we have our eyes on. This experience will better equip us to do the world of SOULWINDER and its characters proper justice when their turn comes around. And for me (Lynk), I just really like how this project's story has been shaping up so far.

Test Project #2 is a fun new canon SOULWINDER side-story taking place during the events of the comic series. It'll feature new and returning characters, and alternate perspectives on familiar events. For us within FORGE 285, the goal of this project is to adapt the "feeling" of SOULWINDER from the vertical-scrolling comic you all know and love into our new medium as best as we can, so we can make the transition between mediums feel as natural as possible.

We're aiming to release both test projects in 2025 for free. Make sure you're on our newsletter (Join at the bottom of this page!) to be notified about their releases so you can enjoy them as soon as possible!
